Council Meeting Time Change
The starting time for the Committee of the Whole meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 has been changed to 5:30 PM, instead of the usual 6:30 PM.
As with all meetings of Town Council, all members of the public are welcome.
All owners of dogs within the boundaries of The Town of Picture Butte are hereby notified that “all” dogs must be registered and licensed with The Town Office.
A dog license is a unique ID that tells us your pet belongs to you. It allows us to reunite the two of you more quickly if your pet ever gets lost or displaced in an emergency. Your pet safe and sound – to us, that peace-of-mind is priceless.
Unaltered dog – $30.00
Altered dog – $20.00
Senior or Blind person – No charge
Dog Fancier’s License – $30.00
Impounded animals (after initial 24 hours) - $30.00 / day
Dog licenses purchased after September 30th will be charged at half the annual rate.
Come down to the Town Office, tell us about your pup and get them licensed. If you have any questions or concerns give the Town Office a call.
Sponsorship Opportunities Available!
The Town of Picture Butte has begun development of an off-leash recreation area for residents and their pets. The designated area is located between the two ball diamonds at the Harry Watson Memorial Ball Park. Phase 1 of the project, which includes enclosing the area with fencing and gates and installation of waste stations, was planned for 2017 and is nearing completion.
Sponsorship opportunities for area residents and businesses exist throughout the project and are outlined in the Sponsorship Package

Picture Butte Bylaw Enforcement
The Town of Picture Butte, the Town of Coaldale, Town of Coalhurst and the Village of Barons are all happy to announce the commencement of our new bylaw enforcement program, called Coaldale and District Municipal Enforcement.
Four Community Peace Officers (CPOs) will be working various shifts to allow for seven day a week coverage, primarily from the hours of 7 AM until 9:30 PM, however the times may vary due to changes in the Officers' shifts. The four CPOs will be responsible for enforcing all municipal bylaws as well as provincial traffic offences under the Traffic Safety Act.
If you have a question for an officer or have a complaint, you can call 1-844-645-2635. Complaints can also be filed using the new online form. When accessing the link, you may need to adjust your browser to allow pop ups.
When using the online form to submit a complaint, under the heading of "Select a Group", use the drop down arrow and select "Coaldale and District Municipal Enforcement". Once you have made the selection, click on "Write New Online Report" and fill in the information. When finished, it will be sent to an officer on duty and will be dealt with in a timely fashion. If the matter is an emergency, please call 911.
